This Tehri Uttarakhand travel blog is all about a simple, slow, emotional family trip I took in October 2025 — the kind of trip where you don’t run behind tourist spots, yet come back with a full heart.
Sometimes you just need mountains, silence, and your people… and Tehri gave us exactly that.
🌿 A Quiet Stay at Azalea Resort, Tehri

We stayed at AZALEA – Luxury Resort in Tehri, a peaceful property wrapped in mountains and cold fresh air.
Every morning, monkeys would stop by our balcony — not to bother us, but simply to say hello.
It became our funny little morning tradition.
The resort felt warm, quiet, and comforting — the kind of place where time slows down.
🥾 Tehri Uttarakhand Travel Blog – Our Small Trek That Became a Big Memory
The highlight of this trip has to be our small downhill trek.
It wasn’t planned.
It wasn’t challenging.
Just a simple walk… but full of beautiful moments.
We met a few locals,
talked to them,
played with the village kids,
and soaked in the calm that only mountains can offer.
As we walked further, the huge Tehri Dam came into view from across the road.
Standing there — fog on one side, sunset on the other — felt surreal.

🔥 Evenings That Felt Like Therapy
Evenings in Tehri were pure magic.
We sat around a bonfire,
played dumb charades,
drank hot tea,
and laughed together like kids.
We played cards outdoors,
collected pine cones to paint at home,
and simply enjoyed the mountain cold.
These tiny moments made the trip unforgettable.
💛 What This Tehri Trip Taught Me
This story is not about places — it’s about moments.
It reminded me that not every holiday needs a long plan.
Sometimes, all you need is:
- a small trek
- a bonfire
- a cool October breeze
- family laughing around you
- and quiet mountains watching over you
Tehri gave us peace… the kind that stays with you long after the trip ends.
✨ If You Ever Feel Life Getting Too Loud…
This Tehri Uttarakhand travel blog is my reminder that a slow, simple getaway can heal you more than you expect.
Tehri may not be full of “tourist spots,” but it is full of moments — and that’s what makes it beautiful.
